Governance Structure
VULPRF is governed by a dedicated Board of Trustees whose members serve voluntarily. The Board provides strategic direction, financial oversight, and ensures the Foundation remains accountable to its mission and the communities it serves. Board members are drawn from across Nigeria and bring expertise in law, education, public health, community development, and human rights advocacy.
Board Chair
Provides leadership to the Board, presides over meetings, and serves as the primary liaison between the Board and the Executive Council.
Board Secretary
Maintains corporate records, ensures compliance with Nigerian NGO regulations, and manages Board communications and meeting minutes.
Board Members
Trustees contribute expertise across program areas, participate in committees, and help guide VULPRF's strategic planning and resource development.
Board Responsibilities
- Setting the Foundation's strategic direction and annual priorities
- Overseeing financial management and approving annual budgets
- Ensuring compliance with Nigerian law and UN ECOSOC obligations
- Appointing and evaluating the President and senior leadership
- Safeguarding VULPRF's independence and ethical standards
- Supporting fundraising and partnership development
